From Accra to Koforidua: LiveStack at the Eastern Expo 2026
On Wednesday, 30 September 2026, the LiveStack team took our farm management app out of the office and into the field. We spent the day at the Eastern Expo 2026 at Jackson Park, Koforidua, meeting farmers face to face and showing them what LiveStack can do.
An early start
The day began before sunrise. Four of us from Vannah Technologies, the company behind LiveStack, set off from Accra with our banner, our branded shirts and plenty of enthusiasm: Awonlue Anam (CEO), Faisal Alhassan (CTO), Sodji Komla (COO) and Yakubu Alhassan (Engineering Manager).
By the time we reached Koforidua, the hills around the town were still wrapped in morning cloud. Jackson Park was filling up with white tents, exhibitors setting up their stands and the first visitors arriving.
About the Expo
The Eastern Expo ran from 26 September to 3 October 2026. Its theme was Unpacking Opportunities for Sustainable Trade, Tourism and Investment. It brought together businesses, entrepreneurs, farmers and investors from across the Eastern Region and beyond.
For us, that theme hit home. Agriculture is one of the region's biggest opportunities, and sustainable farming starts with farmers knowing exactly how their farm is performing.
At the LiveStack stand
Once we were directed to our stand, we set up our banner with a simple message: Know Your Farm. Know Your Numbers. Then we got talking.
We spoke with farmers, traders and curious visitors about the everyday challenges of running a livestock farm. Many still keep records in notebooks, or in their heads. Few can say at a glance what feed, health care and other expenses are costing them, or whether the farm is actually making money.
That is the gap LiveStack fills. With the app, farmers can:
- Track every animal on the farm
- Record feeding, health and breeding activity
- Log expenses and income
- See a clear picture of how the farm is performing, all in one place
We also spent time creating content around the venue, capturing the energy of the day so we can share it with farmers who could not be there.
New connections
The best part of the day was the people we met. About 15 people visited our stand, and 10 of them downloaded the app and signed up on the spot. We also connected with two farmers' associations who were keen to learn how LiveStack can support their members.
Those conversations have already turned into a plan. On 30 October 2026, we return to the Eastern Region for a demo session with a selected group of farmers. The Regional Livestock Officer is supporting us by connecting us with livestock farmers across the region.
At the session, we will show how the app works, help farmers set up their farms on LiveStack and teach them how to use it to manage their farms day to day.
From the Expo to the farm
After the Expo, we reached out to one of the farmers who downloaded LiveStack at our stand. Here is how that conversation went.
LiveStack CEO: Hello! It was great meeting you at the Expo. I noticed you downloaded LiveStack afterward. Have you had the chance to try it?
Farmer: Oh yes! And I must say, I'm very happy I came across this app. I've already started recording my animals and feeding activities. I didn't know managing farm records could be this simple!
LiveStack CEO: That's wonderful to hear! What impressed you the most?
Farmer: Honestly, being able to see my farm information in one place. Before, I was writing things down in books. Now I can track my animals, expenses and feeding right from my phone. This is something we farmers really need!
LiveStack CEO: That's exactly why we built LiveStack! Is there anything you'd like us to improve?
Farmer: Just keep making it simple for us. I can see myself using this every day, especially as my farm grows.
LiveStack CEO: Feedback like this is what keeps us going. Thank you for giving LiveStack a try!
Farmer: You're welcome! I'm even going to show some of my farmer friends. They need to know about this app too!
What we took home
The Eastern Expo reminded us why we built LiveStack. Farmers in Ghana are hardworking and ambitious. What many are missing is a simple tool that turns daily farm activity into clear numbers they can act on.
We are grateful to the organisers of the Eastern Expo 2026, to everyone who stopped by our stand, to the Regional Livestock Officer for connecting us with farmers, and to the farmers' associations who opened their doors to us. This is only the beginning.
